What can be said!High volume cover crop

A lovely mild growing season with great rainfall to flush out the salts that had built up in our soils during the drought years. A fantastic winter and spring to grow our cover crops in the vines to add some mulch back into the soils. Phil was amazed at how high the crops grew it was a shame we couldn't reap them.

With spring the vines burst and flowered and the rain kept falling, this required increased prevenative sprays to reduce the spread of Powdery and Downy Mildew.

The season ended with more humid days and light rain at the wrong time, as the grapes were ripening.
